Parkford

Parkford is a classic farmhouse with modern detailing located in Dallas, TX. This home, shaded by two live oaks in the front, but lots of open sky in the back, is fresh and light-filled. This is Kristen’s personal home and her family’s sanctuary. Parkford is a full-gut remodel, leaving the bottom footprint of the original ranch-style home and expanding the home with a second story. It was important to Kristen to keep some of the original character of the home’s exterior. Architect, Eric La Pointe, reflected the home’s original front façade but created larger windows and a higher existing porch structure, to match the proportion of the house. Kristen wanted the home to feel happy, but still sophisticated. We achieved this through simple, but effective detailing, and used furnishings that were safe and functional for her young children.
